It’s been a minute since you heard from me.

I’ve been travelling, but honestly, I also needed a bit of space after our 7th anniversary show.

Seven years is a long time to keep building something, especially something as personal as What’s Your Story Slam. There have been moments where it felt easy and joyful, and others where I’ve questioned whether people still cared, whether I had the energy to keep pushing, and whether this thing I started still had somewhere to go.

Then we had Top Shelf.

Seeing that room full, seeing people stay after the show, talk to each other, hug the storytellers, tell me what the night meant to them — I think I needed time to take that in.

So before I tell you what’s next, I just want to say thank you.

Some of you have been on this list for years. You’ve bought tickets, brought friends, replied to my emails, shared the show, and kept showing up. I don’t take that lightly.

And because you’ve been part of this for so long, I wanted you to hear this from me first:

What’s Your Story Slam is going to the Esplanade.

Typing that still feels slightly ridiculous.

I’m excited. I’m also nervous. It’s a much bigger room, a much bigger commitment, and yes, I am already wondering whether we can fill it.

Tickets aren’t out yet. They’re coming soon, and when they do, you’ll be the first to know.
